Frequently Asked Questions
Body Composition Analysis
How often should I get a body composition analysis scan?
Membership patients receive a scan at their initial in-home visit. Re-scans can be arranged at your convenience but generally occur around 4 weeks later. This gives us a clear picture of how your body is changing over time.
How much does a body composition analysis cost?
Body composition scans are included at no extra charge for patients in our membership programs. If you're visiting us for a one-time evaluation, the cost is $50 and you can upload the results to the InBody app, or I can email you a copy.
Does insurance cover a body composition analysis?
Genesis Weight & Wellness operates on a Direct Care model, meaning I do not bill insurance. This allows me to spend more time with you and provide personalized care without outside restrictions.
How is this different from other body composition tests?
Many body scans are designed for occasional use and may involve exposure to radiation or limited data points. The InBody 380 is safe for frequent monitoring and delivers a full breakdown of muscle, fat, water, and metabolism.
